REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST From Governorship of Istanbul, Istanbul Project Coordination Unit: Consultancy Services for Construction Supervision of “Göztepe Prof. Dr. Süleyman Yalcin City Hospital Phase 2” and “Schools to be Reconstructed” (KfW3-CB1.1) Country : Türkiye Name of the Project : Istanbul Seismic Risk Mitigation and Emergency Preparedness (ISMEP) Project Loan No./Grant No. : BMZ-No. 5250 01 144 Assignment Title : Consultancy Services for Construction Supervision of “Göztepe Prof. Dr. Süleyman Yalcin City Hospital Phase 2” and “Schools to be Reconstructed” Reference No. : KfW3-CB1.1 The Republic of Türkiye, Governorship of Istanbul, Istanbul Project Coordination Unit (IPCU) has received a loan from the German Development Bank (KfW) toward the cost of the Istanbul Seismic Risk Mitigation and Emergency Preparedness (ISMEP) Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services. Göztepe Prof. Dr. Süleyman Yalçın City Hospital is one of the largest healthcare service providers in terms of bed capacities and provided treatment for inpatients. Besides, it also provides services for a highly significant number of outpatients. Göztepe Prof. Dr. Süleyman Yalçın City Hospital is a general hospital but it also has a major function as Pediatrics. The new buildings named as Phase-2, Morphology, Oncology and Kinder Garden are planned to be constructed adjacent to the existing hospital complex (phase-1 of Göztepe Prof. Dr. Süleyman Yalçın City Hospital) having a closed area of approximately 135.500 m2. In addition to Hospital Consultants shall supervise the reconstruction construction works of educational buildings with a total closed area of approx. 5 school buildings with about 25.000 m2 closed area. These educational buildings are located in various districts of Istanbul. Consultants shall be responsible for: • On-site construction supervision throughout the construction period. • Supervising the Works including defects liability period • Acting as the Engineer under the contracts The estimated time for completion of the supervision services is approximately 40 months excluding the Defect Liability Period of 12 months (in total approx. 52 months).
